In an area, it is the 33rd largest country spanning 881913 square kilometers. Pakistan has a 1045 kilometers coastline along the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman in the south and is bordered by India to the east, Afghanistan to the west, Iran to the southwest, China in the northeast and Wakhan corridor in the northwest.
The territory now we call Pakistan was the site of several ancient cultures and once a part of the broader Indian subcontinent. The geography and climate of Pakistan are extremely diverse, and the country is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Geologically Pakistan is located in Indus-Tsangpo stature zone and overlaps the Indian tectonic plates in its Sindh and Punjab provinces; Balochistan and most of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are within the Eurasian plate, mainly on the Iranian plateau. Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir lie along with the Indian plate. Pakistan's Landscapes vary from plains to deserts forest hills and plateaus.
Deosai Plains are the world's second highest plains aka Deosai national park located in astore Gilgit-Baltistan.
